Meet Dr. Matthew Ivey

Board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in foot surgery as well as reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
He has been in practice in the southwest Houston area for over 16 years. He started partnering with Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic and then spent eight years with The University of Texas Orthopedics.
Dr. Ivey earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from East Texas Baptist University. He achieved his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at Barry University in Miami, Florida. He then went on to complete his residency in podiatric surgery in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Ivey grew up in Orange, TX, playing sports, hunting and fishing, and spending as much time outdoors as possible. He is currently a team doctor for his children’s school sports teams and enjoys being as active as possible with his family.
Married for over 20 years, Dr. Ivey and his wife are active in their church, enjoy traveling, and work hard to instill moral values and character in their children’s lives.
Dr. Ivey treats both children and adults. Along with caring for typical foot problems such as ingrown toenails and heel pain, his specialized areas of professional interest include issues affecting adults and children. These include treatment of sports-related injuries, care for fractures of the foot and ankle, Achilles ruptures, reconstruction of bone deformities such as bunions and flat feet, treatment of cartilage defects in the ankle, arthritis care, and Charcot foot reconstruction.
